She previously played for the Boston Breakers in the WUSA, the first women's professional soccer league in the United States, as well as for the United States women's national soccer team. She played three times at the Olympics and in three FIFA Women's World Cup final tournaments, in which the team finished in third place or higher. ==Early life== Markgraf was born in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and attended Detroit Country Day School.
